1 - Consultation
When I first met Kaitlin she was seeking advice to improve her smile, she wasn’t happy with the alignment of her teeth and also the shape of them. She didn’t want to go through surgeries to get correction for her jaw alignments & was looking for simpler alternatives.
Similar to all smile makeovers we do I have suggested Kaitlin start with proper dental and facial analysis through digital smile design technology to assess the situation and come up with a plan.

3 - Finding The Problems
After detailed facial & dental analysis of her face from different angles, the main problems were identified including but not limited to reverse smile line, crowded and extruded lower anterior, narrow arches hence narrow smile line and protruded upper front teeth which were affecting the profile of Kaitlin, especially her lips and their relation to her nose and chin.
4 - Providing The Best Smile Makeover Solutions To Achieve The Desired Smile
Our cosmetic dentist came up with a solution of considering Invisalign to improve the alignment of her teeth, correct the crowding & expanding her upper arch for a fuller smile first, then followed by take-home teeth whitening treatment to improve the colour of her teeth.
Lastly, restoring the shape and proportions of her upper front teeth with porcelain veneers. We have designed more rounded front teeth to replace the current square-shaped ones to be more harmonious with Kaitlin’s oval-shaped face to enhance her feminine facial features.
5 - Wearing A New Smile Before Starting Treatment
A 3D mock-up of the proposed plan was 3D printed and we tried the possible outcomes prior to starting the treatment. for every patient, we always try to ensure the treatment plan is a collaboration by listening to our patient’s goals & communicating at every step.
fast forward the treatment plan was approved by Kaitlin after physically wearing the new smile mock-up & shedding tears of joy for the exciting journey ahead towards her new smile.
6 - Kaitlin's Dream Smile
We have finished her Invisalign treatment without any tooth extraction or invasive procedure in less than 18 months and following two weeks of take-home teeth whitening the front upper anterior teeth have been restored with minimal preparation of porcelain veneers to enhance the shape and proportions.
A confident smile with more harmonious facial proportions without any surgical intervention and with minimal biological cost to the teeth structure was the reward. I am truly grateful for having the opportunity and trust of Kaitlin to look after her Smile makeover journey.
